| The grade five and six class at Eastern Kings Consolidated School in November 2003 focused on the importance of Remembrance Day. The students researched information on the internet about John McCrae, the author of "In Flanders Fields". For an art activity they worked in pairs to illustrate one line from the famous poem. They put all the illustrations together to create a wall hanging for our school. The class took digital pictures of their wall hanging to create a slideshow and an interactive puzzle. Lastly, on Apple Works, they wrote letters as if they were soldiers at war writing to a loved one back home. | | This web page was originally developed on Canada's Schoolnet Grassroots program.
