Primrose is situated southwest of Souris in
Lot 54. It is possibly named for Archibald Philip Primrose (1847-1929), Earl of Rosebery, Lord Primrose and Dalmeny, Prime Minister of England 1894-1895. There was a Post Office situated here from 1896 to 1899 and from 1904 until 1915.
