Baseball was introduced to Souris by American sailors in port to have their vessels resupplied. It is believed the first games were played where the Souris Consolidated School is situated today.![]() Souris West Baseball team in 1911. Future Lte. Governor W. J. The Bridgetown Orioles Baseball Team from 1923 to 1925 included Louis Cantelo, Lorne Wigginton, Frank Clay, Glen MacKay, Edward Aitken, Billy MacMaster, Jack Rice, Reggie MacDonald, Walter Burdett, Joe Westaway, Lufkin MacLeod and Neil Dan MacDonald who served as umpire.
