Ching

Cyrus Stuart Ching was born at Red Point in 1876. He went to Boston in 1900 and only had 35 cents in his pocket. After being injured in his job as a motorman, he became a labour and management negotiator and peace-maker. He authored a book on mediation and lectured at various universities through out the U.S. He was a personal adviser to President's Franklin Roosevelt, Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy and Johnson and also was a consultant. He died at Washington, D.C. in 1967.
